Newton Abbot, TQ12 1AJ, 01626 355066.
All our staff hold current Enhanced DBS Checks (Disclosure and Barring Service) Paediatric First Aid & Food Hygiene certificates.
Denise the manager and all the Nursery Nurses hold either a Level 3, 5 or 6 Early Years Qualification so a wealth of experience all round. We are very proud that all our Nursery Nurses exceed the minimum standards of core training qualifications required by Ofsted.
We offer ‘funded’ early years education sessions to 3 and 4 year olds children for up to 23 hours a week 'stretched' over 49 weeks a year that Grafton Childcare is open. Why not ask for more details about how this scheme could benefit not only your child but your pocket. See our page Funded Childcare 3 & 4 Year Olds for more details.
Our ethos is to provide a safe and happy place for children, where they can learn, grow and have fun! A place where parent’s know that they can safely leave their children and know that their child’s well being is paramount. We provide small-scale home-based childcare. We are different from a pre-school or school nursery because we don’t split the children into rooms e.g. babies, toddlers and 3 and 4 years olds. We believe that by staying small and allowing siblings to stay together we are able to provide the quality care and nurturing atmosphere that your child deserves with the added benefit of a homelike environment.
Grafton Childcare is a small family friendly Day Nursery, we offer the same flexible preschool programme based on the seven areas of Learning and Development as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage offered by many larger settings. Children can participate in a full range of both child initiated and practitioner led activities such as phonics, numeracy, cooking, outside play, stories, dramatic play, creative art, crafts, music, free play, trips to the Farmer’s Market, Tatty Bumkins Yoga Classes, Totnes Rare Breeds Farm, Living Coasts, Newton Abbot Library, Teignmouth Beach, Decoy Parks and so much more besides.
