We are at the moment overhauling our Handbook and Parental Consent forms because over the years they have become rather unwieldy and wordy! So we are taking the time to go through each of our Parental Permission Forms and Policies one at at time and totally rewrite them. As we rewrite each policy it will be listed here for parents and others to refer to as and when they need to.

As part of our commitment to work in partnership with Parents, Carers and other Professionals for whom we come into contact whilst we care for your child, we have put together a very comprehensive Parents Handbook. Since this is now 52 pages long and contains at the last count 49 policies and procedures we thought it would be more prudent and environmentally friendly if we keep the latest version on our website for those who need to refer to it so that they can access the latest copy of any particular policy or procedure with ease.
Of particular note are the following:
Equal Opportunities Policy
Grafton Childcare welcomes all children and adults and does not discriminate in any way towards gender, race or ethnic origin, creed, colour, religion, disabilities or impairments. Every child and adult will be treated as an individual who has individual needs; this includes special educational needs where appropriate.
Complaints Procedure
If at any time you feel there is a problem please speak to a member of staff who you feel can appropriately deal with it, for example your child’s Keyworker, or the Manager, Denise Tupman. Alternatively you can write to the Manager See ‘Contact Us’ for more details.’
If you do not feel we have dealt with your problem to your satisfaction you may wish to contact Ofsted at the following address:’

Behaviour Management
Our staff believe in the strong promotion of children’s good behaviour through the acknowledgement and praise of positive, considerate and caring attitudes and actions. Staff encourage self-discipline, consideration and respect for others and for the property, facilities and surroundings of Grafton Childcare. We promote these values by treating children with respect and through leading by example. Staff act in a caring and considerate manner towards each other, and It is considered that in this way children will develop a positive attitude for the future and promote their independence
